It’s hard to know just where to start with this gorgeous Thanksgiving-weekend wedding at The Driskill Hotel. There were so many deliciously non-traditional things about it! If you saw Sara and Kevin’s carnival engagement session, you know that they’re all about the color and flavor in life. If you didn’t hear their story, we encourage you to read it here.
And as you might imagine, their wedding was no different.
First of all, one of the most endearing things about it all was the ring bearer. Abraham Poodleman, the couple’s beloved standard poodle, did a spectacular job bearing the bling, and we must say he was SO well behaved! Next, Sara’s shoes were simply bedazzling, as was her bright red jacket. But the biggest surprise? The wedding coordinator, a friend of the bride’s family, secretly hired Darth Vader and Boba Fett so that the couple would have two more spectacular wedding party members. The look on Kevin’s face when he saw them was priceless. As you can tell from some of the detail shots, Sara and Kevin are big Star Wars fans.
In addition to all of the fun, there was plenty of elegance about this wedding too. The tables were decorated with beautiful shimmering leaves and garland. The flowers were beautiful. And the brunch food was exquisite (eggs benedict at the Driskill is like no other!) It was a fantastic celebration all the way around, and we couldn’t be happier for the Jennings! Congrats, Sara and Kevin!
